Ganth
Hi. I am new to your forum and have only been collecting for a year, so thank you for having me. My knowledge is limited by growing daily, more so now reading your posts. I have had marbles for years and was an avid player in the 70's. A year or so ago I found my old marbles in the attic, which re-kindled my interest. Two marbles especially, which I am having trouble identifying as I can not find any pictures of similar marbles. I am in great need of your help as I would love to find out more about them. Anthony
jhomer2172
Well they do not exhibit any traits for any vintage marble that I can see. They appear modern and my guess is contemporary torch made marbles. I don’t collect those so await further input from the experts!

And I appologise for the poor picture clarity, not how they appeared on camera.
Da Roberto
They are handmade marbles produced around the 90s in Vietnam or Thailand, currently in the Vacor group Here is one of my...
Ganth
Hi. And thank you. I have not played with my marbles since the 80's so I may have acquired them some time then, maybe late 80's so it sounds possible. Every other marble seems to be clear and attractive all round, where as mine are dull and unattractive at the pontil mark. Maybe the marble makers first try or one that they made an error on. Thank you for your reply, I will follow it up. Kindest regards

ann
There are some HTF marbles from Czechoslovakia that are similar to the OP, but I`ve never had one in hand. So I`ll just throw those into the mix as a remote possibility, too.
akroorka
I always will count in the newer Chinese marbles as a possibility with this type of marble. They are really shelling them out. https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Colorful-Hand-Made-Glass-Marbles-Unique_1600230820270.html?spm=a2700.galleryofferlist.normal_offer.d_title.a6a54815QchXoJ Marble—On!! Hi. Thank you for the link. Yes, they are very similar as is the one that Da Roberto sent which is also Asian, so thank you, I think I am now on the right track. My only niggle is the rough pontil and unattractive base which every other one I view does not have. Maybe a tourist marble. Rushed and not so much care taken. Thank you once again. Much appriciated. Yes, I have found some similar, so thank you, but as with the Asian marbles which have been put forward they have no rough pontil or dull base and do seem more modern. My marbles will be earlier than mid 80's as around this time, maybe earlier, I would have stopped playing and they were assigned to the attic. Thank you once again, I now have alot fo marbles to be looking at. Anthony
