marblenewbie
Looks to me that the marble has the five requisite colors to be a Parakeet at .61. Green, Yellow, Red, gold, brown.
wvrons
Just a nice Vitro Tri Lite for me. Four colors which many are. There are very very few 5.8 inch Parrots. The small Parrots look just like the larger ones. Some are twisted and some are not. Small 3/4 Parrots Parrots 1
marblenewbie
Thanks Ron, I knew it wasn't a Parrot(unfortunately), but I had someone tell me that one like this has the name Parakeet. I guess there is no such thing.
wvrons
Many people call or label the smaller Parrots as a Parakeet. Probably the first one to use the Parakeet name with a marble or Vitro marble was about 15-20 yrs. ago by the late Chuck Brandstetter. Chuck collected all marbles and was a Vitro authority. He called or labeled the 7/8 size Vitros with white base and three other colors as Parakeet. Because the Parrot was 7/8 size Vitro white base and four other colors. Parrot was four colors not including white. Parakeet was three colors not including the white, But later collectors started using the Parakeet name for small under 7/8 size Parrots.
