The Nickel Guy
I'll post them here as we go along. I'll start with Opaque White Base and solid colored corkscrews. Feel Free To Post Yours Too! Red on white Just a note before I go too far. I have noticed that some of my corkscrews are more like a slug crawling over the surface. It seems if they were intended to be screws, they did not turn as intended in the making. I'll mention any if they are in the pics. These are all corkscrews in nice condition pole to pole, some of course better than others but these pass the test I think. Same marbles, 2 different pictures. Two of these are larger than the rest and deeper in red and very nice examples. ( top two ) 4
The Nickel Guy
Here's a few more Opaque White Base and solid orange-red colored corkscrews. I am thinking this is a very common color combination for this Akro Agate Corkscrew and probably just a variation of the red ones above. 3
The Nickel Guy
Next will be the Opaque White Base and solid blue colored corkscrews. Some might be a bit translucent white? 3
The Nickel Guy
Opaque White Base and solid black colored corkscrews. One might be a bit purple, one black is larger. Color sets it slightly apart from others maybe? 3

The Nickel Guy
Thanks for joining in Mojo. I don't think any of those I posted glow under a UV light. Those are awesome!
Ponjong
my first corkscrew that I got recently. not sure if there's any rarity to this type or not. there's a similar one listed on joemarbles site as a prize name, strange how it looks so different from other corks. look forward to seeing more examples of corks 2
The Nickel Guy
Ponjong Thanks for posting. I have two or three like that one you found. I like it! One on left looks like a fracture but it is not. These would be Colored transparent base with opaque colored swirls. I can't exactly say that snake is white. If I could name it, I would call mine Root Beer Floats but I think another marble has already claimed that name.
The Nickel Guy
Some of these are Akro Agate Transparent Red Colored Base Opaque White swirls I think. The white just lays across the surface for a stretch and only curves a bit. (top ones) The bottom are Transparent Red Colored Base Opaque White Corkscrews.
The Nickel Guy
Sometimes they just don't corkscrew enough, I might have two out of this handful that are Transparent Green Colored Base Opaque White Corkscrews. The others are those slugs I talked about in post 1.
The Nickel Guy
Same situation here, Wannabees and maybe a couple or few that make true corkscrews. Transparent Blue Colored Base Opaque White. 2

The Nickel Guy
White and Yellow Corkscrew on a clear base. Small bubbles. A light blue corkscrew in a bubbly transparent clear base. Not to be confused with an Akro Agate "Blue Auger" since the interior is open.
The Nickel Guy
Earlier (previous post) I posted a White and Yellow Corkscrew on a clear base. Here it appears with another with similar color combination that is less defined and also a White Corkscrew on a clear base.
The Nickel Guy
Three Orange (with just a trace of brown) Solid color Corkscrews on an Opaque White Base. That one on the left might show some light through the white? I forgot to check but the color makes me think it might be translucent.
The Nickel Guy
A very mellow Green and Blue Opaque Corkscrew on a White Base. I don't think those straight lines are cracks but I will take a look and come back to note if they are. EDIT This was driving me nuts so I had to get it put and look. Sure enough, it has cracks. :-(
The Nickel Guy
These are pretty in my eye and well made. Opaque Black corkscrew on Opaque Peachy Caramel Brown Base. Delicious! I really don't know what color that would be.
