Tallgrass
Good afternoon, grateful for any guidance & support . I have stumbled upon a 90 year old collection of marbles. Estimated @ 250000-500000k pieces . Widow desires to sell collection whole & intact . I joined this forum last night & my UV flashlight arrived this AM . Where do we begin ? Than you all in advance

Clean the jars for a better result. 90 is a lot of years. Research German hand-mades and look for them in the jars. Based on your blurry images--I do not feel right about the 90 years thing. I am looking at these on a 22" monitor not a phone or tablet. Dust collects in a hurry--just ask any marble collector. Good luck and of course-- Marble--On!! Tallgrass
Thank you for the reply ,I will have my own pictures tomorrow afternoon, I’m going to the farm to meet the widow . These pictures are provided by the caretaker. Do these pictures offer any further insight ?

The oil jars with the holder are very valuable to Automotive collectors. They can be cleaned up and sold in a whisper. They would sell just as well in the current condition-maybe even more. I am still not seeing much as far as the marbles go. The canning jars would maybe be of worth to some of the older Amish community but not worth that much even to them, rubber seals are still there to be found but not as reliable as the newer stuff. We all have to sort through thousands of marbles to find any that are worth collecting or selling. It is an exciting find for any collector--this many marbles. I wish that I could be there for you, as we all would. If you are a Gambler--get the price knocked down and hope for the best. One marble may be worth the whole gambit---or not😁. Each of these jars would sell for about $30 at any garage sale to those that are not initiated to the hobby for display only. Just leave them dirty if that is the case. Dirt sells for sure. Marble--On!!
