The family immigrated just before the Civil War and the home owner lost a leg in battle. Found near the foundation of a long gone carriage house. I'llhavethat1 Posted May 24 Report Share Posted May 24 nice handmade German. Timeframe seems about right, these were made from about 1850s to 1910 or so. I'd put this at the earlier end of that scale. Nice symmetry amd pattern. Note how it's details are in-focus. The flash is firing to expose the background properly, washing out the details in the marble. Try daylight, flash off, non-textured neutral gray(ish) background and (most importantly) manual select center focus. That will set focus & exposure.
