" This object appears to be a fruit with a severe fungal infection, likely a type of rot. The black spot and surrounding discoloration are characteristic symptoms of fungal diseases that affect fruits, with some possibilities including citrus black spot, black rot in pome fruits, or brown rot in stone fruits." Al Oregon has this one nailed. Bennigtons-(bennies) are hard to pass up. The little dots are a result of them being stacked together during the firing process in the kiln. I love these and always have. They come quite big—over an inch and quite small-under 5/8”. These are the Chickadee’s of marble collecting and I have never met one who does not like them. They are just too common to collect—unless you are me—I just luve-em. Marble—On!!
