  1. Beautiful marbles! They are what the box says.
  2. These are my favorite Marble Buddies, not in any order. The colors in this one remind me of Ravenswood colors. Clyde Tuller, I'm home now. I hope these are not too dark for you. My lighting is considerably better than The Wells Inn.
  3. Didn't make it home. Drove 14 hours today and had to stop in Nacogdoches. Easy ride home tomorrow.
  4. There are already some for sale on ebay. Much better pics than mine.

Howard Powell and son Tony Tony and mom Julia Powell Walking down the street are Joe Hogue, brother of Sammy Hogue and Nola Morgan Kris Parke and a lot of his marbles. I added some of these too.
  9. The weather has been great for the festival this year. No rain, no floods, no bitter cold, no heat -- just right, comfortable weather. I have some pics of friends and favorite marble makers that I'll share with the folks who couldn't come this year. I bought mostly contemps, a few vintage machines mades, but I won't do pics in my hotel room again. They would be dark. I'll post pics of the pretty contemps after i get home. the show pics are in sunlight so they won't be dark. On the right is Andy Davis. Some of you will recognize his tops on the table. Brett Young, half of the team of Hot House Glass. i bought several of their marbles. Christmas Ornaments by Hot House Glass. I bought a couple of these for my son's family. Dan Grumbling - maker of wonderful flower marbles. I added another one to my collection. Danny Grocki - If you've been to the marble festival, Danny is always set up on the same corner.
  10. Cllyde Tuller, I forgot to mention it was night time. If you've ever stayed at the Wells Inn, you know what the lighting is like. I don't think the group pics of marbles look dark. They were taken in daylight with the curtains open.
  11. It may be my lighting. I'm in a hotel room with very little lighting.
  12. I use a Nikon D60 for marble pictures. I also use a tripod. My pics might be better if I didn't use automatic settings, but i do what I know how to do.
  13. This is a good sampling from the quart bag of lutz, pixie stick, and sprinkled marbles that are my share of the Marble Buddies First Edition.
  14. There are a lot of elegant ones. When I get home I'll do some individual pics of them. Not wasting any more time away from the show. LOL!
  15. colorful embellished green and orange embellished and plain Pastels and pastels embellished All of these marbles have purple and red, some have extra colors. Purple and red embellished reds and blues embellished Pretty colors
  16. Embellished beiges, embellished blues Blues bright red and blue embellished bright red and blues brights brights embellished
  17. OK, I've done all the sorting I'm going to do until I get home. I have taken 3 hours out of the show to do a few pics, edit, host, and post. Here come a few pics.
  18. I didn't finish sorting last night. Found more families, more lutz, more unusual patterns, more eggs and footballs, very little broken marbles, some out of round. Mostly just great marbles. i can hardly wait to take pics. I'm driving to Sistersville today.
  19. I started sorting at 1:00 pm. It's now almost 7:00. I'm completed half a box. No way I'm going to finish tonight much less take pics andl edit. However, i can't keep my hands off them. They are colorful, glitzy, and swirly. I've never seen these patterns in any marbles I've been involved in making before and i think this is run # 8 for me. We have sprinkles, pixie sticks, mist, and ribbons of luts and wonderful color. Some individual marbles have swirl patterns that are outstanding and will have to be photographed alone rather than in a group. I think very few of these will ever leave my hands. I have never seen so few cold rolls. My baggy of trash from sorting half a box barely fits one small corner of a baggy. I hope this holds up for the rest. Of course the eggs and footballs that i used to throw away are too pretty to throw away and I'll be keeping them. Now when the throw away things are pretty, just imagine the marbles. I thought Last Dance had a lot of lutz. Forget that! Not only is there more lutz, but the ribbons are wider, much wider. I can hardly wait to be finished and posting pics of them. Thank you David McCullough, Richard McKnight, and Sammy Hogue for your talent, knowledge, and hard work.
