Here's most of my Vitros minus cat-eyes, tiger eyes and all-reds.
In my experience, the scarcest ones to find in the wild in my West-coast experience (some of which I've never found) are in no particular order: Cosmic Rainbows, Parrots, Yellow Jackets, Black-eyed Pea, Sweet Pea, Eight Fingers, Wedding Cakes.

I put em on FB too and consensus was Vitro although nobody proffered a twin.

Thanks, Ron. I definitely see the color resemblance although yours appear veneered, yes?
Do you see any Akro potential at all?

Colors could be dug Akro?
But the last time I thought dug Akro on a peachy ribbon, I think the consensus was Vitro, so I'm really just tossing that out there, not voting.
I just glanced at an Akro Popeye Patch and it sure looked a lot like this guy in terms of construction .

Didn't consider that. It is dead mint and came from the "wild" as far as I know, but that doesn't eliminate Akro. It does remind me of another anemic tri-lite that I have but this one is definitely on a different color spectrum.

Akro, they were in my original 100 count Akro Sparkler box.
Thanks for the confirmation. I really like the clouds on these. I think it makes up for the lack of a ton of color below.

With those shreds, I would think Akro ... but I would run it by Dani. @zaboo
Thanks! I had the bigger one in my Akro box and the smaller was purchased as a Master Sunburst. Pleased as punch that I got both off eBay for under $10 each.

I'm not sure how I feel about polished marbles.

Thankfully it wasn't me, and thankfully the guy was so mad he decided to sell his 50lbs of marbles (which he put in a plastic bucket) to me. 90% were pretty beat up but there was a Peltier "chocolate hermaphrodite" in there which I've since traded.

Thanks for all your efforts over the years, Lou. It is a privilege to keep this community and its trove of marble collecting knowledge going.

Thank you, Steph! We are thankful for your gentle and informed contributions to this great hobby.
Happy Thanksgiving!

I see it and I believe it!

Neat!
I wonder whether those first quality cornelians were the banded kind, with the lesser ones being the more reddish with less definition? Also machine ground by then?

Any Japanese-reading marble collectors interested in history of marbles?

Check out this Akro Agate ad from the March 4 1922 Vancouver Daily World newspaper. "...far superior to any of the Oriental lines."
