  1. Matt - read the OP again......I mention nothing about the auction or any relevance to an auction.....isn't this a website to acquire knowledge about marbles??? This is the exact reason I stay off these boards.....complete troll!
  2. Why you ask.....to show courtesy to anyone who bid or planned to bid on this auction. Also, why is it relevant if the auction ended or not?
  3. Seen this neat handmade on ebay, any thoughts to what it is? Seen anything like it before? http://www.ebay.com/itm/182016279276?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Thanks! Chris
  4. It arrived this weekend, multiple small blow-outs but a fantastic pattern and my first blue bee!
  5. I will post more pictures of this one when it arrives!
  6. I seen this killer peltier miller bumble bee go off yesterday and I was the lucky winner. Is it me or does it look like a blue bee, thoughts? http://www.ebay.com/itm/ANTIQUE-VINTAGE-MARBLE-5-8-Bumblebee-NICE-/271912578043?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=WXbkb%252BWwtcPjHo4i7Omqziql0Y0%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
  7. I actually have the marble packaged up to ship back tomorrow so I'd rather not scratch on it. One thing I noticed today was a hit that was below the surface that you would normally see on the surface.
  8. Hello All, This marble was purchased off a live auction on the internet as a "leighton" transitional (ground pontil transitional). After receiving the marble it was fairly obvious (correct me if I'm wrong) that this marble is a remelt. The pontil is not correct as it should be ground, the glass is extremely clear and the surface is very smooth to the touch and the marble as a whole is very out of round. Also, there are areas in the surface that just don't look right which I've tried to include in the pictures along with small spots of glass sticking up from the surface. Thanks! Chris
  9. It's just the lighting, there is no blue in the marble. My father had the marble many miles away. I will try and get better pictures when I see it for myself in hand. Thanks! Chris
  10. I will see if I can get any decent pics when I get home this evening.
  11. What a great surprise to find a rare boulder this past weekend along with some other killer marbles. It measures 2 1/8" and has two small nicks along with one larger chip and I would consider it near mint. It has a milky white base along with a great pattern of yellow and pink striping. The base of this marble is semi-translucent so I'm not sure if it qualifies as a banded translucent or a banded opaque? This is the largest banded opaque that I have ever seen, has anyone else seen anything this big before? Thanks! Chris
  12. Wow.......what a great marble! I love odd and unusual handmades!
  13. Hey guys, Yes the first two pictures are the same marble. Would it be considered end of cane due to it only having one pontil? It's 11/16"
  14. I just love these types of marbles.....here are some of my own. Share em if you got em! -Chris
  15. Here are some handmades out of my collection. I would consider some of these rare......any thoughts? -Chris
  16. Absolute Killer! I love these marbles! If you get a chance can you share some pictures of the others you picked up? I also collect these types and I'll have to post some pics! Great Marble!
  17. Hello All, I do believe someone is going to be dissapointed......isn't this a Brian Graham marble? http://www.ebay.com/itm/M-F-C-GREEN-OXBLOOD-BRICK-MARBLE-13-16-NR-/261180995817?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&nma=true&si=%252FdxwA30sQGFGnFGMB4PECk8vq24%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc Thanks! Chris
  18. I recently picked up this wild Christensen and at first I thought it was a striped opaque. But after being backlit it shows a yellow base......what are everyone's thoughts?? It measures 5/8 and is mint but it does have three small pieces of debris (kiln brick?). Thanks!! Chris
  19. Thanks for the comments!! It should be arriving this week and I will try to post more pics of it! Chris
  20. Hello All!! I thought this was an awesome and very unique banded lutz! I've never seen a lutz with two different colored bands on it?? Has anyone else? Also, how rare is a banded lutz like this? Thanks, Chris
  21. Thanks Rich!! The colors are awesome and the adventurine just adds to it!
  22. My father scored these parrots at a local auction today!! They are all between 7/8" and 1" and mint condition! Four of them even have adventurine in the green! How much does the adventurine affect the price of these marbles compared to a parrot without it?? Thanks, Chris
