This auction just went off the bay tonight and it went for a ton of money! Not really seeing much value in this lot. What just wondering if I might be missing something? Thanks, Chris LINK

Here are some pics of it underwater. They show the shrunking core and the lobing of the marble a little better. -

The blue in the marble is alot darker than the pictures show. The light makes it look much brighter. The blue core reminds me of a jelly core that is sometimes seen in german handmades. I picked this marble up off ebay on a chance. The picture was bad and I was "told" they got it in an estate sale quite a few years ago? LOL -

Yes, the core does have a lobed effect to it on two sides of the marble. Ill try to get a picture of it. -
Hey guys and gals! I recently picked up this blizzard mica and was wondering what everyone thought of it?? The marble measures a little over 1 1/2" and it has a translucent blue core shrunk inside the mica. The pontils on it are still there but I believe they have been remelted with a tourch?? They are unlike the traditional german pontil. The marble also has a lot of "orange peel" on the surface, would remelting the marble cause this?? What does everyone think?? Is it an old shrunking onion with mica that has been remelted? Or is a good example of a contemporary marble made to look old?? Thanks for the help!!

If you don't mind me asking did you pick them up at an auction in Pennsylvania? I had seen a auction advertised with marbles and two of them were golden rebels? Also if you don't mind how much did you get them for? LOL Though about going up there but 8 hours is a little far on a Wednesday! Great Score!!!

Well I got the two lots in the mail today that I bought off ebay and much to my suprise they are ALL melted pontil transitionals!!!!! I believe they are all Navarre? The amber three are all around an inch and the rest are around 3/4. The one amber one had some annealing fractures but is still a beautiful marble! Thought I would share them with you!

Thanks everyone for the help! I can't wait until the end of the week! I will take some pics when they come in and let you know what they are. If you read the descriptions in both auctions it says something about a rough spot where the swirl ends?? Hopefully a pontil!

Hello everyone! I won these two lots on ebay last night and was just wondering if you guys think they are what I think they are? I believe they are both lots of Navarre transitionals!?!?!?!? I have my fingers crossed! Auction 1 Auction 2

Here is one of the rarest marbles in my collection. It's a superman hybrid popeye that is 9/16" and wet mint! Great thread, let's keep it going! Thanks Chris

Hello Bill, Yes the green marble has a mixture of blue and eggyolk swirls in it. I wish it was in a little better shape but it still is an awesome marble!! Thanks Chris -
