Please post pics of you're banded Micas, there isn't much info/pics online, I've seen red or blue bands, what other colours are there? Are the bands intentional?, or a byproduct from another marble cane? In terms of %, what % of micas are banded? Thanks all

No problem, I'll post just as soon as they arrive, I think they're being packed tomorrow from the auction, I had a full set of Amethyst a couple of years ago, I don't think the one I'm waiting on falls into this category, only time will tell. This set I sold on ^^^ were very uniform in colour, so I could be wrong!

I agree with Steph, just checked it out again, it is definitely black opaque, but does remind me of a very ripe black cherry, with slight dimpling, visible under a loupe?, the ribbons look white, cherry/lilac under magnification?

I see where you're coming from, but these ^^^ don't have the sharp, precise flame type ribbons?

A mixed bag, some old hand made's in there, bought from a UK auction, has a vintage look about it, I checked the JABO Black Odyssey out, I can't say they looked anything like this one.I could be wrong though?

I've some micas arriving next week, clear, blue, green and one which looks pink, similar to BB's image, it may look totally different in hand, I'll post some pics of the "Pink" one. Thanks for the info and images posted. -
I thought Onionskins had to have an inner layer of opaque colour?, or is this a messed up Onionskin?, the prominent band of opaque white looks deliberate.

I've had quiete a few Amethyst types, but is there such a thing as a true Pink Mica, I'm having trouble finding any info/images etc, does anyone have any pics or info?, cheers.

Hi, there's no core at all, just faint white strands, on or near the surface, I'll post some better pics this evening, if I find my camera charger that is!

Yeh I know, I know, I moved house 5 months ago, got my hands on my camera charger the other day????, charger disappeared?, what chance have you got?, stuck with ipad.

Hi, I'm pretty sure base glass is clear, but has a slight green hum about it, green translucent strands, one prominent green band framed in white?, it's mint, no wear.

Ha ha ha, now that is funny, no need to apologise, I know where you're coming from. Sometimes the expectation of getting/winning something nice, far outways whether you actually win or not? Without hope and dreams, what else is there?

Hi Steph/Ann, I hope you are well?, I messaged the seller, he got back to me, I'm not sure when he launched this. He says he has 20 numbered random marble boxes left, the "Guinea" box is still up for grabs, you can pick from the numbered boxes left, 50 UD?, worth a punt?

Sorry if this has been a topic previously, it kind of rings a bell, it's a pot luck auction for small boxes of marbles.There are 50 in total, with the chase marble being a CAC Guinea, a few large German hand made's etc, firstly does anyone know if the Guinea was bagged? It's a great idea, but if the chase marble has gone, it spoils it, thanks.

Hi, no I've no display case as yet, I keep them in plastic cases, the ones often used by jewellery makers, With all the compartments, it keeps them safe, I've the machine made's labelled up, pretty sad really.im keeping an eye out for a case.
