Yeah, I am digging it. Trying to keep a single layer as much as possible. Once I am done, then I can HAVE FUN around here. This always happens. I think I want to sell off but then just gaze at them all day. 

I tried deleting it.... 

I bought all the boxes!! I still need 2 more. But only for miscellaneous, damaged, and cat eyes (ho hum)  

Obviously this one has been beat up. But it is solid color. Chipped like glass. Any ideas? The only one. 

I have a whole other bag of the pink ones (I forget what it is called. 

At first I thought this one was cracked or damaged. Nope. Metallic thread(s) run through it. 

Yes. Very subtle. I need to go find my lupe. 

There are several sets of "special" marbles that I suspect my grandfather got solely for the purpose of collecting. They are generally clean and free of chips. Love these colors.

Indeed. This was just a test. I usually use a neutral or simple background 

Today's accomplishment. I need more tackle boxes. Lol.

HAHA!! No. That is why I am here. My collection was inherited from my grandparents' estate in West Virginia. They date from, I assume, early 1950s to possibly the turn of the century. 

FINALLY!!! Starting to organize my bin-o-marbles. I don't know how you guys do it. So many interesting things. 

I no longer have my pro camera gear (retired). Now I use a Sony RX10 or an old Olympus, both of which have  pretty fair macro settings. So this is with the Sony. Sent to my phone. Just testing resolution etc. Please ignore studio itself. I was just playing with the camera. 

I haven't been here FOREVER. But since I am stuck inside, not gardening, due to wildfire smoke in the PNW, I am considering spending some time preparing to sell my collection. Kills me to have them just idle in a storage box when collectors would love to have some of my beauties. Since I don't have my photography website anymore, I will likely use a public FB page initially for pics. 

My QUESTION is... what do you think is the best way to market and sell? Ebay? The collection is too large to probably sell as one lot, even though that would be a great way to get er done.

Any input would be appreciated.

Yes. ALL my marbles are from that collection.
