Construction does not look antique. 19th century marbles typically have symmetrical lines outside of the core. This may be result of deep polishing. I still think it may be a heavily polished old marble.

Have you by any chance checked for cutlines on CA Worlds Best Moonies? That might be a definite identification guide if they have cutlines. Akro Moonies or Master Mellon Balls, which by the way by far the most attractive and colorful of any translucent type marbles, do not have cutlines.

Without any intention to hijack the thread...I have learned that Milkies, Prima Agates, Opal Agates and Cerise Agates were very early Peltier (circa 1924 onwards) production. It is interesting to note that Primas, like Clyde mentioned, look like American Agates and nothing like Peltiers. There is a large number of them out there too to counter the thought of they are very early rare Peltiers. Hmmmm...

Bad pictures and poor description might actually bring higher value on this auction. It is a magnificent marble, but without proper grading and pictures bidders will rely on the limited info and hope for the best.

This is not really a show. It is a one day meet. We have collectors come from Sacramento to central California. It is not only for vintage collectors. Any collector is welcome.

I knew the grandma who passed away a year or so ago. She was a classy lady buying marbles on Ebay. Her son and grandson are the ebay and this forum personalities. I do not approve his (son or the grandson unless we are dealing with double personality) response to Andrea at all. Very out of line.

Few years ago I found an over 2" blue Mellon ball in an antique shop in San Francisco. It took me few minutes to realize what it really is after locating the faceted ground pontil. They are impressive in those sizes.

Mike is mostly right, however, you can find burnt K&Ms and also Liberties. Many Grey Coats are also Burnt Liberties. Some Burnt Liberties do not grey out to become a Grey Coat. When ribbons go on top of each other on Ketchup and Mustards, they do not show a completely burnt color. I have not seen any other tri color Peltier with this type of configuration, but I did not see everything. Another question is if these type of Peltiers are done on purpose or accidential.

It looks blue from here. I never heard a purple with red combo... A rare one. Liberty Citruses have strong orange ribbons, not really red ones as far as I know.

It is Liberty Citrus. A blueberry Citrus would have yellow ribbons instead of red ones.
