  1. Thanks Kevin for posting the pictures. Great to meet Bo and his wife. Great time with good old friends and get to know Dick and his wife better. We had one of the best turn outs we had for a while. We had Chuck driving all the way from Pasadena, Dick and wife from Sacramento, Bo and wife from Sparks and mike Johnson all the way from San miguel. Thanks guys for showing up. Great time and super marbles were displayed and traded.

  2. Just so everyone knows, I had the opportunity to drive to his house last year and took pictures of his collection for the Peltier book me, Mike Johnson and Gino Biffany have been working. Clyde's name will be forever associated with the history of Peltier Glass marble history and collecting.

  3. Hi guys,

As most of you probably know by now, we lost Clyde on September 15th. He was a

remarkable marble collector and a good friend, so we will take a moment to

    remember him at the meeting.

On an exciting note, we have a lot of people interested coming to the meeting.

    Confirmed attendees are:

Jeff Wichmann, Sami Arim, Galen Wilcox, Leo Contreras, Bill Bass, Dick Michell

and wife, Mike O'Brian, Steve Gorin,

Kevin Thorne, Mike Johnson, Mike Barton.

This is going to be a good one. Bring good marbles to share, sell or trade. Please join if you are driving distance. West Coast Dave, Marboman?

Let me know if you have any questions.

    See you then.

    Regards,

    Sami

  4. He was a remarkable marble collector with a superb eye for the rare and beautiful marbles and endless knowledge. I was hoping to drive him up to Sacramento next month to our meeting, but it wasn't meant to be. We held our last meeting at his complex where he lived, knowing he couldn't get around much.

    My condolences to his family.

  5. Hansel,

I am not an expert in anything. However the marbles in your box have Sparkler configuration with similar colors of Sunbursts which typically have more earth color whisps. Both types were made with similar sort of injection machinery that I have read about and similar looks. Cutlines are somewhat different and Sparklers typically have clear base glass versus Sunbursts have transparent amber, yellow, brown, green, red etc. base glass. Backlight your marbles and I bet they all have clear base.

  6. Hi guys,

Our bi-annual fall marble meet is scheduled on October 25th. The venue is our friend Jeff Wichmann's fantastic American Bottle Auctions headquarters in downtown Sacramento. The adress is 915 28th street, Sacramento, CA 95816.

Please note that our friend from Wisconsin Bill Bass is visiting with us for this meeting. Bill always has killer marbles for sale.

Hope to see you some of you there.
