After reading Alan's long post on Ravenswoods, pix below from post, I recognize strands that look similar, post is 11/22/07 and I can see the aqua marble I have as well as other examples that could have contributed.

just for comparison even though these pix aren't clear, this is the blue marble with a strand in the swirl sorry it won't let me post another picture right now

I've been told by some experts they can't say what the strand in the swirl of this marble is, except that it is a WV swirl marble. One person suggested it could be the start or end of a run but it looks like a definite thread of something in the swirl to me, and too pretty to be "trash" that got into the process, although that may be the case. Has anyone see this in their marbles? I have another marble that is ice blue with white swirls and has the same thing.

Thanks all. Are they WV swirls made in the 30's or when would you estimate?

And are these slags as well?

Are these slags, maybe Akro slags? If so, when made, who made them and how would each be worth, just an estimate? Thanks all
