Thanks for sharing Cheese. Some of these look familiar, especially the ones with green and orange ribbons. I have 3 plastic boxes full of West Virginia Swirls. Every so often as I learn more I'll go them to see if I have any hidden gems. Looks like its time to do that again!

Thanks Dave and thanks Cheese! I never would have guessed Heaton. Most of the other swirls are white or green based with a single-color ribbon. Below are the only other ones that stand out. Any good ones? If anyone would like more photos of these let me know. Thanks!

Swirls are so befuddling to me. Pleassseeee be Green Ravens!

I bought a jar of marbles today and I'm thinking these are Alley Corals. They measure 5/8. Thoughts?

Thank y'all! I appreciate the help! I'm learning but IDing swirls still drives me crazy. Thanks again!

The Spiderman is 7/8 Chad. I wish it didn't have the dings but it is what it is. Nicest one I have...

Thanks Newton. I'm used to paying $30 or $40 for a peanut butter jar full of beat-up marbles hoping to find a few keepers. I get a bit antsy when I spend more than $100. It was the big blue one that convinced me to buy. It's been played with and has a couple of hit marks but I like it. The Special Prize Name is pretty sweet too.

Never having found one in the wild I'm stoked! Even if has been polished I'm just happy that it's real! Looks like I have some reading to do.

Bought this collection today for $160. Some Germans, some slags, a few vintage machine made, some modern handmade and a sulphide which I think is a fake. There are some Jabo and Mega marbles too. Is the blue machine made a Spiderman? Anything someone needs a closer look at?

Thanks y'all. I was hoping Heaton!

Beautiful Hand Made Loaded With Lutz
Marbleneophyte replied to Marbleneophyte's topic in Marble I.D.'s
If I made it, I would have signed it. It's a gorgeous marble for sure and one the maker can be proud of. I've looked over it over with a loop a couple of times now and nothing. I knew it was a long shot and I truly appreciate everyone's input. Thanks! -

Thanks y'all! -
I'm guessing that this is modern. It's not signed, dated or initialed. Measures about 27/32. Any tips on how to ID?

Clear base with tangerine orange & white ribbons. Measures 17/64. Orange ribbons are pretty wide and are not just on the surface. Some type of Vacor maybe??

Thanks for the input y'all!
