What pre 1940 West Virginia marbles
Melissa replied to BRBLL74's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
I think newbies are super fixated on little things like uranium, pontils, diaper folds, etc. I know I was this way in the beginning. I started collecting because I noticed some marbles glowed under a black light and thought it was cool. Little did I know Id one day be a real collector. 🤣 I even remember a certain someone (Alan that’s you!) correcting me several times on this very issue. That said, I agree 100% with Alan in that UV marbles don’t increase value and rarely help in identification. It’s just an added bonus to collecting but means nothing. -

Vitro conqueror and vitro anacortes.

Not a brick. No aventurine. Looks like a common game marble.

Thanks. I love my cats eyes!

My guess would be vitro but wait for more opinions.

Definitely not vacor. They’re odd. Not sure what they are. My guess would be Chinese made.

Asian imo

Pelt rainbos. No tracers. No zebra.
-
Not reelers. Akro moss agates and vitro conquerors.

I’m not sure. Definitely foreign but not sure if it’s vacor.

I’m not sure what swamp means but I see vitro conquerors.

No. I have quite a few with oxblood. They’re beautiful.
