His videos are so incredibly helpful. They contain so much info that I have watched several multiple times, stopping to take notes. So cool of him to do those vids!

The colors are what made me think funky Vitro, or modern something trying to look like something it's not.

I'm no expert, but Vitro did so many different patterns and colors that it very likely could be Vitro. But it could be MK. Maybe newer foreign? I'm absolutely no help at all. I'll shut up now.
-
Could that be a blended MK? Like some sort of Bumble Scout hybrid? It's cool and interesting fo sho.

I didn't look too hard at the pic, just assumed they all were Yellow Jackets. Now I'm thinking bottom 3 are, but need more pics. That top middle one has some extra going on!

You go girl.

Now I don't feel so bad for not knowing what it was. Thanks guys!

I’m still working on a worth while group for you to mess with. It’s a different approach to sorting marbles. Kinda funny I’m being picky when sorting candidates for your project. So I’ve reconsidered sending you 100 penny marbles and wasting your resin. This is gonna be fun. Don’t worry. Trust me You can’t “ruin “ these marbles. They are all fair game🔥

LOL... I totally get it. When I'm sorting to put some out for patients, I find myself having a hard time with parting from these penny marbles.
I don't have a vacuum chamber but I've been getting tips and am excited to give them a try. So please send me a couple good ones and I will return them to you looking like gleaming beauties.
But it's up to you. I'm good with whatever you decide.

Some bags are where pretty much all the value is. A very hard to find Vitro bag with common conquerors in it? Don't open!
In general I'd try really hard to not open most bags. Easier now that I've been doing this awhile than when I was starting out. I do have a few Japanese cat's eye bags still intact.
But I bought an Anacortes Vitro bag to be educated. And even if I can't find another, I don't mind that I took the marbles out to get some clear photos of them.
Basically my advice is to put the bag in a safe container and wait until you are sure about it.Remember, even though you might say, "I'll just remove these staples and I can put it back together," it's easier said than done to reassemble. And if it's "I'll just make a small hole in the bag," well that's not undoable.
Sage advice and it makes perfect sense. I considered the staple thing, LOL. It just so tempting. But I like the idea of sitting on it for awhile and just getting a few similar types to display.
I guess it would depend on the marbles.
-
If you were to buy a sealed bag with the original marbles inside, would you be a fool to open it? I suppose it would depend on the marbles, but are you just killing the value by opening it?
-
Good eye, Melissa. You could have gotten hosed. I'd be tempted to go back in and do some serious scoffing.

Not sure if I posted this one for ID, but I think the consensus was Pelt. It's just 7/16ths. I noticed recently that the ribbons, but not the base glass, respond to UV like fire. I tried to catch it, but it makes it look like the base is lighting up too. Would this new info effect the ID? I'm also having trouble finding more than 1 seam.

These were the pics that had me scratching my head from what I thought was a Conq without a doubt.
