  1. I thought it might be Vacor. It's a beautiful blue color and the place where the 3 ribbons meet forming a Y shape has what look to me like crimp lines. I wasn't able to photograph it well enough to show it.
  2. No. It's a dark blue transparent base.
  3. I would not have thunk it. Thanks guys!
  4. I'm trying to figure out what these are. 1 seam looks pretty, then they get funky.
  5. I attached the wrong pics to this post. But ID help needed, please. 5/8

  7. Yeah, I have to get my pic set up dialed in. And get some calipers!
  8. I don't have my calipers yet, so I apologize for not having specific size. It's bigger than a lot of my shooters, but that's not really saying a whole lot. Did Pelt make them this big?

    Akro?

I can't get my focus right, but the colors/seams are saying Akro to me. Am I on the right track for this one?
  10. So that makes sense. I once owned a rare Green Hornet shooter (someone has it in their profile pic now I do believe) and the black portion was lighter and more purple looking. But I've seen some really dark black stripes/patches, like in a bumble bee that just looked super black to me. I guess it's all about the concentration of glass in that area. What about the newer MK's though? Do they use black now?
  11. What I mean, is the back and forth of opinions and expertise is fascinating to me. I learn new stuff every single day.
  12. Thanks for that. It's nice to not be afraid to ask the questions. That's how we learn.
  13. I'd like to offer up an opinion, if I may. I have had MKs in the past where the black veneer was very anemic and gave off an almost purple hue as a result. Since the questionable purplish stripe has darker edges, it seems to me that it leans towards black as it's less anemic in that area of the pattern. Plus, the darker lines follow into the green in some parts. Could this just be an anemic MK? I'm just trying to jog my memory from when I did this stuff a lot more several years back. Thanks for humoring me.
  14. My brother is like Ansel Adams on his iPhone. They have great cameras. It's like the colors on your pics just pop.
  15. I agree. You have some great pics!
  16. Do you think the top 2 are Akro due to the seams? Cause the construction of the 2nd had me thinking Vitro right off the bat. Then 3 - MK and 4 - Vitro. I had no idea on 1 cause there are so many types of Vitros I swear I'm seeing just about everything as a Vitro these days.
  17. Those look very nice. I like your profile pic marble. Such beautiful, bold colors.
  18. I did one of these several years back and posted on LOM, I believe. I figured it was time to do a new one. I'm no expert on photo shop type things, but I swear this encapsulates just how I feel sometimes. I saw a marble on a video the other day and I got all teary eyed over it. Geezo. I need help.
  19. Yes, I would like to have all of those, please. Pretty, pretty please?
  20. Are these older Vitros or newer marbles. Not clear seams, but did my best. They do react under UV.
  21. Are the Yellow Jackets rare when compared to the other Vitros. I don't see a lot of them, but then again I haven't been doing this too long. Thanks!
