  1. Here’s a pic of some grandstands I think you’ll like, then.
  2. Red lines to ask if I’ve found the seam.
  3. That little bitty slice of rainbow is the Hoopty-di-rah I was talking about. I’ve got a bunch of those, and none of them had that. So I thought it was interesting. And as a brand new collector, I’m smart enough to know what I don’t know, which is everything. I will reply with pics shortly
  4. Do I grabbed these the other day. What’s up with all this hoop-di-rah on the second one
  5. Blue. Upon closer look, I think I must agree with you. .73 size and more twists and turns than a continuous line.
  6. Am I looking the same here? Not even sure where this one came from
  7. I have a few of these. Chinese marbles peddled on Amazon as vintage or at least something known.
  8. Trilites. Not all trilites are helmets, but all helmets are tri lite. So I’ve been duly instructed.
  9. Ok. I think I got it. Maybe with a third pelt. Ignore the ones underneath. They deserve a post of their own.
  10. Wow! Thanks Jeff! Who knew I had some cool/rare pieces?I started like a month and a half ago. Not even sure where I got these guys. I think these may have been in an antique store where the owners seemed a happy to get rid of a jar of marbles. Most was junk. And yes. Seems like I have two marble king and two pelts. Sounds like both of the MK‘s are tough, but the big boy is incomparably tougher. That’s crazy! I’m gonna look around and see if I can determine where I got it. Thanks again, everybody, for your help.
  11. Not that this color changes much I just really like it, especially trying to coax it out
  12. I can’t disagreee! I’m not sure how it was advertised. And it’s tough to get the base color to show. But it sure is pretty. 😂 that’s my main factor in purchasing. Thanks for the help, all.
  13. I purchased these all from the same dealer. They seem to check out to my eye, but I’m brand new at this. He’s got a couple more items I like up for sale and I just wanted to clarify that I’m buying what I’m paying for. Take a look at the pics and tell me what you think. Thank you.
  14. I’ll get you some better pics. And two of them the striping goes across in the opposite direction. And on one of those two there’s a black face or front of the helmet.
  15. I originally thought that these were all helmets. Now, for obvious reasons, I am not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  16. Sorry, guys. I gotta pump the brakes. Apparently I have 3 very similar. 🤣 I’ll do the one we have seen first, then the other two. Original and one of the other two are .61. Biggest is .67. Also, the original and XL look more related to each other. here’s the OG nextOG and Big Brother. Finally, the “odd man out”. Something different all together? Wish I could get some better light on it actually, maybe not so finally. This big boy (.96) is orange white blue, and purple too. Someone ID’ed it awhile back as a king or master something or other. At any rate, I don’t think it’s related but idk
  17. Oh, indeed I was! Pretty good week for a new guy. Someone drilled a hole in one, tho. (I don’t think pelts are old enough, right?) but one has a real banger of a UV patch. Lit up the room style! Gonna make a post on this weird vitro (I think) I got as well maybe a couple others that have me stumprd.
  18. I’m thinking pelt for 3/4. One in the left has me a little confused. Way too insecure on my ID’s. Also, what’s up with the hole in one? Some trickery afoot? (Pics through magnification show it.)
  19. It’s a siphon filter for coffee geeks! Here’s an intact one! that being said, and now that I have your attention, are these what to think they could be? Worth the £12
  20. Yup, it IS purple. Size wise it’s .63” or 16.1 mm if metric’s your thing.
  21. I was told I had my first two supers. Does spidey look ok? I’m confident in the Superman patch.
  22. I was asked to submit this one solo, so here we go! I have no idea. It was sold as a cac slag. I just liked the way it looked. If you need better pics or lighting, just ask away! You can feel the ridges in the top part of the swirl. Last pic I lightened so the marble would really stand out.
  23. ha! Many thanks I just buy what I like my trove is small, but growing! I have a feeling we are in the company of greatness, though! I’m willing to bet some of these folks have ROOMS for their marbles. I have a couple shelves Also (it may be too late) Pro Tip: do NOT tell friends/family/loved ones, co-workers for secret Santa… basically ANYONE that might give you a gift, that you’ve started a marble collection. It’s not that people will laugh or make fun of you. I encourage those things regularly. It’s because You’ll be certain to get a a couple of the “starter packs”, or maybe some “civil war era” marbles. As the years go by, you’ll get various wall hangings, t-shirts, socks, books (usually REALLY bad books), paper weights. There will be puns, too, I’m sure. You make it easier for people to shop for you, but you start ending up with a lot of repeats! Here I am complaining about gifts Jeez #first world problems. At any rate, I think people have always loved wee tiny marbles! I found this and wanted to share i couldn’t help but to include some of my favs.
