Thanks everyone! I’ll dig them up later tonight or tomorrow for a reshoot. It depends on if my wife wakes up or sleeps all night. It’s amazing how quickly a marble collection can grow! 😂
-
Can we go with a few? I don’t have anything super crazy, but I got a lot of middle of the road stuff. 😂 I buy what I like, I guess. D really like help with ID on some (shady eBay dealers!) and, most of all, can anyone link me to an LED light board/something that I could see them backlit?
-
I just switching over from sports cards to marbles. Well, doing both I guess. Make sure what you have matches eBay sold listings. Save you. 1000 headaches. Also, feel free to ask if you need a hand. 35 years in cards…

I have so many slags. I can’t ID them. But I keep buying them. I like how they look. According to eBay sellers, every one is a Christiansen. 😂
-
I’m brand new. I don’t know half if what I have. Not wear it came from. Do I have to look at this marble later? Or is mine completely different at some horribly obvious and fundamental way?
-
Thanks guys. Awesome info as always!

FANTASTIC score. I’m an eBay creeper. The late night sniper bids. 😂 I’ll keep my eyes out.

That looks super Duper extra creepy! I want one. Ha ha ha but seriously what is that thing called? It’s certainly absolutely beautiful.!

Whoa. That’s awesome. I read about those. Saw one posted for…. A lot…. 😆

I’ve been asked to “make an offer” (which I hate) on one of these. It’s a beauty, don’t get me wrong. I just don’t know where to start on the offer. Nothing in the inter webs to help me. DJ

Are those vintage cards legit or reprints? That 1990 Topps Thomas have a name on the front? I’d love to check it out in depth. How much are you getting? That era , unless the vintage IS vintage. Can be tough. I can see I have a lot to learn about marbles.

Wow!!! Thanks!!! Looks like things get pretty specific. Those are crazy books and I’m definitely gonna have to pick up a couple for Christmas.
-
Well, pretty self explanatory. It’s Christmas, and I just started. What’s a good marble ID book?
-
It should be in-hand this week!

Thank you. That’s the answer I was hoping for. I’m a whiz at baseball cards. Not so much here. How’s about this guy?
-
So, I’ve been thinking of making a purchase. Been burned so many times though. Purchasing marbles that I or a particular, my wife thought were vintage need to find shiny new marbles. What are you guys think of this batch of marbles, and then the 2 singles behind it. vintage? Collectable? Worth a couple of bucks to take the risk?

Making Rolley Hole marbles this year

They look amazing!! I’d take a link to that auction as well. When u was a kid, I found a couple of pretty good size chunks of gneiss or schist ( I don’t know my rocks as well as I should (for Shame, for shame!) just loaded with garnet. What hardness are the rocks you’ve been using? -

I’m not sure if it counts as a score or not, but I absolutely love purple slag, as I’ve stated many times. I got these for $12.50. Plus shipping. I think that’s a score in my book. What does everyone else think? -

I don’t know how great of a score it is, but I don’t wanna get left out!!! I got the three bags of peewee JABO, and the other two bags, for $33. Last pic is my collection after 2 weeks or so. I guess I really dig purple slags? -
I’m DJ. Brand new to marbles, but have collected sports cards for years. When people started getting in to fights over $20 retail boxes (that they were selling for over $100 on eBay)I decided to back out a little. IDK enough to pick machines or hand made. as for a pic? Wedding pick with my wife. We got married in bed. In our pj’s.

That’s one of the coolest things about this hobby!!!! You never know where these things have been! Most of my stuff is newer. But I can’t ID anything.
