The "Score!" thread. Post your exciting finds here...

I can’t find any jars here in pa. Literally all the shops are empty. However flea markets seem to have a few hoping maybe estate sales through the summer might have some. They seem to be filling jars with buttons around here. -

Best flea market find ever. Found 2 jars today pretty cheap 1 for $10 and 1 for $15. $10 jar first marble I spot was this little gem! -
Thanks I think I'm starting to get somewhere with my marbles. Once I quit trying to figure them all out at once.

It sure does look like a pretty green mica to me. I feel like it’s not or I’m just really blind. Sorry many extra pictures.

Ok thank you! If I share photos of 3 that I have can you tell me if they are phantoms? I wasn’t sure if they were even vitro.. They look similar to these they do have wispy inside. Oh some days I could just load picture after picture.

So I have a question… Are they conquerors? If so how do you tell the difference between the conquerors?

Just when I think I’m getting somewhere this weird jellybean looking thing pops up. Then I’m just not sure all over again. Are these 3 marbles the same thing?

Has anyone ever heard of this?

Thanks pretty sad to think you have shady people everywhere I guess… -

I feel the same it’s a really crappy thing to do. I never knew or thought that was a thing. You could clearly tell it was on purpose. Some even had little metallic stickers on them. Just real shady stuff like that can ruin a good business. -
So over the weekend I bought a jar of marbles. I purchased them from a reputable antique shop from one of the vendors that rent space from them. I rolled the bottle around kinda looking at them. They were mostly clear colored they looked dirty and old so I grabbed it. I didn’t get to look till the next day. They were super dusty you couldn’t tell what anything was cause of the dirty dust but they felt wonky and misshapen so I was a little excited. When I put them in some water I realized they felt wonky because someone had taken the time to put little globs of wax on the ends of some of the blue, green, and red clear ones. Turns out they are just cheap Amazon marbles. I have never heard of such a thing. I think I should call the shop and tell them about the shady vendor they have. My boyfriend thinks just let it alone..

Nice thank you!!!

These are all different marbles. I can add more pictures if needed. Some of these I’m just really struggling with. I feel like a positive id could help me narrow down the ones that come from that particular company.

For the love of exotic hybrids! Vitro help needed!

I have no idea. So far I have come up with a hybrid vitro conqueror. However I literally started learning a month ago. 🤷♀️ I could be 💯 wrong. -

This is the best I could do. I tried everything I could think of. It has this faint red band around the top that doesn’t want to allow light through and the glob inside prevents light from coming through either. The bottom is the best but a terrible glare. -

I can I will try to get a good one. -
A little while back I posted some pictures. I knew absolutely nothing about my marbles and NOW…(I still dont know much) I didn’t have a clue about seams or cut lines or swirls. Once you see the seams it’s almost impossible to unsee. I now know a little better how to take pictures for identification. I have what I believe could be a Vitro hybrid exotic conqueror. Any help would be appreciated. I took several pictures and tried to brighten them up a little. Thank you in advance…
