Steph
A folded pricelist from Akro, found with a 1926 letter also from Akro. The pricelist is sealed with a 1 1/2 cent Warren Harding stamp. (click to enlarge) The letter advertising Cornelians, already opened:
m!b$
Maybe you can use a hot, but not too hot, iron, and put it on the stamp for not more than about five seconds, then peel up the stamp without tearing it. I often do that to remove price stickers, and it works for me.
glangley
Isn't the old trick supposed to be steam? lol I would open it, but that's just me. My curiousity would outway any future price tag. Plus i would enjoy the heck out of it! lol God Bless!
Steph
pretty much for me the question would be how to open it ... and would I have the patience to wait until I consulted with an expert or just go for it myself
duffy
to do this you place the target in the freezer...the glue on the stamp freezes and comes right off....no damage to anything....
