VTAndrea
Do they publish the final bid results of the Morphy auctions when they've ended? Just curious to see what some of those marbles will bring. You can't see the bids so far even on the ones that are to go tomorrow.
MrsMopar
As far as I can tell, yes. You can probably see it after they have gathered the info and posted it here: http://www.morphyauctions.com/auction-results.html :-) Felicia

Hipocritter
John- :Money_0031: Thanks for the link to the final prices. :Money_0031: Looks like some really nice marbles changed hands. That lot #926 Onionskin with Mica would look nice in my marble case. I could display it right next to my empty wallet. Steph
Did Morphy used to be better at ID-ing their mibs than they were this time? I didn't check all the auctions -- for instance I didn't check handmades -- but I did see some serious faux pas in a few of the more common marble auctions. I need to compare the final prices with the estimates. Coz it seemed like too many boxes were estimated at about $200. ... with modern marble kings estimated higher than most. Steph
or did I miss something? that modern marble king box went for $175. Was it really a "salesman's box"? if so, would that explain such a high price for modern MKs?
Hipocritter
Steph, It looks like they 'Dumbed Up' their descriptions a little. You don't have to guarantee what you don't say. Being too smart as an auctioneer can hurt the bottom line. There were some pretty rare marbles offered & evidently happily gathered on up by collectors.
