skycollect
Hello I have this Akro 125 box and would like to know more info on it. How old is it? Is it very hard to find? Thanks!
Steph
My best age guess: 75 to 80 years old. Tempted to say closer to 80 than 75 but don't want to push it.
PlanB
I have seen an Akro advertisement mentioning the #125 box, that was dated 1931. However, the ad mentions 24 marbles, so perhaps there was more than one style of the #125 box.
david Chamberlain
Pristine! Looks like it came right off the shelf and then you photographed it. It is about as basic as basic can get for an Akro box but early. Couldn't find an example in the Hardy's book. Extrapolating though from a similarly basic set and with only the 1998 Price Update I'd say in todays price range and especially considering the phenomenal condition you'd be talking $750. Then it could be a rare one. I wouldn't know. The marbles are about as simple as you can get though with Akro corkscrews: white based one color. skycollect
Thanks for the info! Yes it is in really good condition for the age, just a little normal corner wear.
