Ok, so is it just a common shooter size Alley agate marble, it sure looks like the patterns that others have said are, that was a very vague reply Galen

I don't think this makes it as a Calligraphy, just not enough pattern. I would say it is a cool swirl being large and two colors besides white. Not super common but not super HTF either.

Thanks, I am just trying to get a good grip on the WV swirls, have looked and read and seen and owed hundreds of them and had hundreds I sold that I now wish i had back.So the ones I do have I want to group them. I have been collectiong for 10 years ,have some nice marbles sold my entire collection twice and once again have been building it again. The swirls are somthing I have just grouped together in one bin and have never tried to sort, but they are really taking off now. I do like to get a good input on the marbles I post because I do list some of them so i can buy more. Almost all the marbles except the pelts I will consider selling. Thanks for your informative input. A good disscusion is always appreciated. Jay

No worries, The swirls can be a time consuming and frustrating endevor, that's part of what makes it fun...right? lol

I would say Yes because........the flowing artistry of the pattern/design.

These are the type considered calligraphy. They are 5/8 or under. The whole marble will be patterned like this. Not just one area or side. And here is the recent discussion http://marbleconnection.com/index.php?showtopic=14298&view=&hl=calligraphy&fromsearch=1
