kbobam
Hmm. Boring title, but I guess it says it. And a separate note for you camera-toting people: This is my first attempt with a Nikon 1 camera. These little guys are way more capable and serious than many people give them credit for. (This photo was shot wide-open with the kit lens.) Also more fun than anything else I've ever used. And if you happen to use a Nikon dslr and don't know what a FT1 mount adapter is, check out this link. kbobam
There've been a lot of great photos lately! Your 'mom's eye-view' of the little birds and Winnie's oh-so-maternal swan are particular favorites. ( :

Hipocritter
Great Flower pictures guys. Sooner or later we will get some Day Lilys here in the valley. Pretty sure we don't get any of the type Galen pictured here in the northeast.
kbobam
Not like any colors I've ever seen.
stacyw
No daylilies open here yet either Lloyd but pretty soon. I always think of them as the "last day of school " flowers because that's when they seem to bloom, but everything is late this year. Our evening primrose just opened today but sadly no gorgeous rose in the middle like yours. The first Monardas always seem to pop open on July 4th but they may be late this year too. Spectacular flower photos guys!

TeeElsey
Our Prickly Pear cacti in bloom this spring. A bee on my Verbena bonariensis, pic taken about ten years ago. Not a flower, but this tree is HUGE. It's at the edge of the lake by our pier. I love the way it looks at night.

migbar
Just a simple sunflower shot. I had to stand on my compost pile, and hold my tablet camera as high as possible over my head to get it, though.
marbleus1
Saw fields of hundreds and hundreds of acres of these in South Dakota. Some 30+year ago. 10'tall, not a site you will forget.

stacyw
The daylilies popped on here on Wednesday - the last day of school right on schedule. No monardas yet - waiting for Friday to see if they are on time. Yours is really pretty - I like those pure red ones the best.
Hipocritter
Ah, finally, some sunny summer smiles for a while. Stacy said-I like those pure red ones the best. kbobam
The cactus is cool. I probably shouldn't assume that it's a cactus. Up close, things aren't always as they seem. I don't know what to think about Mike's bug. One minute I'm looking at it and having all these "The beauty of nature!" sensations, and then I look away for a second and when I look again it just creeps me out. Nice shot either way! Hipocritter
Yep, it's a Cactus alright. We bought this beauty about 30 years ago. The plant itself is about 14" tall now. It was one of those iddy biddy things when we brought it home from the grocery store.
