Steph Posted January 12, 2015 Report Share Posted January 12, 2015 My initial response is that Akro boxes came with different configurations of marbles over the years. In this ad it says, "52 of our synthetic moss agates". The patch-style moss agates are pictured. I'm pretty sure I've seen them posted with the fancier swirly moss agates, and maybe with corks, and maybe with moonies, and don't remember believing all of those to have been backfilled. And I think the number of marbles in the boxes may also have varied. (Edit: I think this particular ad page is from around 1934, but the picture might be from earlier in the 1930's.)
