I don't see slag -- coz in addition to the white and reddish, there seem also to be more clear looking areas. 

I don't know what I'm seeing.

Could they be  Akro Agate Carnelians ?

Is there white below the surface or is it limited to the outside?

My first thought was wishing it would turn out to be Carnelian, but I also don't see it at this time.  

What does it look like under a blacklight?

it has a orange glow under UV light where the white goes under the surface..

For Carnelians, I expect to see some of the green glow -- in the tan areas.  There might be some without it, but without the green glow it's harder to say yes to Carnelian.
