Steph
Fenton shut down most of their operations 6 years ago. And now they're about to be gone for good -- the building is to be demolished. In commemoration, here is an interesting video. Marbles are mentioned -- when they talk about items which don't pass quality control, and so they get crushed and the glass would be turned into marbles. I know Jabo used some of that glass. Not sure about Marble King.
manddrakes
So sad, Fenton made some beautiful glass works. One of my recent purchases.

manddrakes
Thanks Steph! I only really collect vases and my favorite style is April showers by Fenton.
wvrons
I worked at Fenton in 1971. Almost if not every marble company in WV old or newer used Fenton cullet in their marbles. Also includes Jabo-D.A.S.-& Sammy's Mountain marbles. Plus many contemporary makers used Fenton glass. The two largest cullet sources for marbles in WV & Ohio was Fenton and Vitrolite. The main cullet supplier then and today is Gabbert Glass cullet in Williamstown WV. Second or third generation operating Gabbert Cullet Co.
