Ric
Conquerors are very common vintage marbles but how common are conquerors with a white patch and a colored body? Does anyone have examples?
Steph
I sent out an SOS to my main source of Vitro knowledge. That's one of the questions he hasn't tried to figure out. He puts them in with the clear base and moves on to the fancier conquerors. So, no helpful input from me. But I can bump the thread.
Ric
Apparently, I pay way too much attention to Conquerors. lol
Steph
I think I misunderstood the question. You're talking about the location of the surface colors, not the colored guts, aren't you. I didn't read the question well. I trust my source did, since I linked him to it so he could read for himself.
Ric
That's right, Steph - no colored base glass here. This is just a clear-based Conqueror with the surface patch and body colors reversed. I've seen thousands of Conquerors and I have not noticed any with reversed patch and body colors before. Though it seems our Vitro friend has, and that's good to know.
