martin
Hi, First post, I bought a bunch of marbles because they looked nice and there was a couple of old German ones in them but all the rest were like these, can someone confirm they're fairly modern types from Vacor like Spaghetti etc? Al Oregon
White one near top left could be spaghetti however, to me, it is more likely a wirepull from Veggiglass (? sp) (Netherlands) like the other three on top and middle bottom. THe blue & white cat;s-eye (2nd from left) is Vitro hybrid cat's-eye. The other 4 to the right of that one in the middle I am not sure about. Bottom right (lind of greenish in clear) looks like a possible Vitro Cage Style Cat's-eye.
martin
Many thanks Al, I've been looking up wirepulls online, it'd be cool if they were from that period but even if not they're still lovely to look at.
Steph
Hello, Martin. I agree with Al. They look like Veiligglas to me. (Also I agree on the Vitro cage style cat's eye.) http://marbleconnection.com/topic/15635-dutch-marbles-roll-over-the-globe/http://marbleconnection.com/topic/20865-veiligglas-wirepulls/
