Steph
Hi. That's an Akro corkscrew. From the 1930's. I'm not sure if it has a special nickname. Is it a normal 5/8" diameter marble? Or closer to an inch? If normal size and mint, one might be able to get a couple of dollars for it. (Just my rough guess.) Yours does not appear mint, so I think value is probably a dollar or less. wvrons
Correct, it is a Akro corkscrew. Made in Clarksburg WV. In this condition worth about ten to twenty five cents. Mint worth about $1.00 - $3.00. A mint four color Akro cork can be worth $100.00. The marble might be very rare but if condition is not high near mint or mint the value drops 50% to 75%. Condition is the most important to collectors, not age, not style, not colors, not rare, etc. It needs to be nm+ to mint to have much value at all.
