Opaque like this is ok, you only have to worry about capturing what's on the outside wait till you get some semitransparent or translucent glass with anything inside, it's almost impossible to photo for "me" the sheen or as you say reflection off the glass surface is a bear to deal with, I found I had to use a lower wattage bulb to get any semblance of clarity of the interior. Some marbles I gave up on or took another pic of it backlit. "I realize yours is opaque black" & can't be backlit so I'd say you did well considering.
