I have experience in collecting glass insulators and bottles...so why not do marbles as well?😊

I came across a couple - giving each its own post - the other day and am thinking this glass one is an older one.  I just don;t know whether or not to throw it into the play pile for my young grandsons or set it aside as something more valuable than just a toy to be lost.  "Valuable" meaning history as well as collectable value.

The first measures .21 to .24 inches taking various measurements with a caliper.  It appears to be white milk glass and feels a bit crude.  Maker?  Date?  Any help appreciated.

They look like Vacor De Mexico to me, AKA (Mega) marbles, made in Mexico. Are you sure about the .21 & .24" measurements ?? That's less than 1/4 inch, smaller than half that of a pee wee ??( .2031 = 13/64ths )     ( .234 = 15/64ths ) that's really tiny ??

Sorry about that.  Not sure where my mind was when I was measuring and posting.  My caliper readout was flashing at the time.  I also should have known better.  Changed the battery and get .63.

Thanks for all the help everyone.  The kids get this one!

Ah !! Thank you, for a minute I thought you had some kind of unknown mini mib, no need to apologise accidents happen to all of us, my digitals lie to me all the time. Yes .63,  a bit over 5/8ths, both marbles are the same manufacture "Vacor" ( Mega ) & very common. Again "Thank You" for posting & clearing that up Lee.

So both marbles I posted - the asteroid and the porcelain (is that the proper term?) - are Vacor?

Both are the same base glass, same name etc..,  probably from a different batch , temp. etc... & same manufacture, as Ron said value "0" zero. One of the most common marbles there are. Here is a link to the Vacor marble company I.D. site, best I.D. site there is for Vacor.
