Steph Posted April 17, 2022 Report Share Posted April 17, 2022 Now you've got me separating out glowers!  Hubby and his friends went off to a "collectables" rummage sale today.  One of our friends picked up two jars of marbles for a low price and gave them to me. The fun kind that you wouldn't buy for yourself because they're "modern" or "common" but it's a still a treat to go through them when someone else brings them to you. Hitting them with a blacklight is part of the fun. I found several with an eerie blue glow.  It is from some other chemical, not uranium.  Maybe calcium?   If you have bright uranium glowers next to them, the blue gets drowned out. But if you take out the bright marbles and let your eyes adjust, you get a pleasant effect.  1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
