Fuzzy Chubbs
Prize name? 2-colors, both opaque - that’s how I understand em.

I don’t intend to ruffle any feathers, this is just a specific topic that has caused me confusion; mainly because I’m getting conflicting info. I was previously of the understanding that “Prize Names” were 2-color opaques, AND one of the 5 listed color ways from the original ADs. (taken from Steph’s Study Hall) However, a more experienced collector pointed me towards the Marble Collecting Society site which classifies any 2-color opaque as a Prize Name, including white. Doesn’t really matter, just some confusion on my end; the mibs are just as pretty no matter how they’re sorted. I will say though, the 5 original color ways are more-desirable for me (Blue/Yellow is mmmmmmm). And as an avid Pokémon card collector, I call em “1st Edition Prize Names”. Don’t worry though, I won’t spread that lol.
Ric
I should have been more clear in my comment. If there are two distinct colors other than white, I would consider the marble a Prizename, even if it's on a white base. And don't worry about any comments to me - my feathers don't ruffle very easily. 🙂 My son, Jake, was a huge Pokemon fan too, and I always enjoyed playing with him. When he passed, he left behind a gigantic collection of cards. It took me weeks to sort and catalogue them. I sold all of the less valuable ones but kept a few hundred others. At one point, he had two complete first edition base sets, jungle sets, and gym sets. But he traded or sold most of them off to support his car and girl ambitions as he got older.
