Looks like a "Cleary" or "Puree" game marble but might be an industrial glass ball (maybe feedstock for fiberglass production, e.g.).

Thank you very much for the response. I have a handful more I'm curious about. Is there a proper way/orientation I should be positioning marbles when photographing or in general?

Look at several of the post made here,   Many times more than one view or side of the marble needs to be seen for a accurate id.  if the cut lines show they can help with some identifications.
