Plutonianfire
Please see attached photos of 5 mossies. I read Stephanie’s section on mossies but really can’t say whether Akro, Alley, or Master. From what I can gather, a translucent white base with a colored patch (opaque, translucent) is the defining characteristic.
Steph
From what I can see, I think Akro on all.
Plutonianfire
They’re certainly all represented in the Akro mossie box photos included in your article … but the same colors and shapes also seem to be present in the Alley and Master box photos … at least to my eye. akroorka
When it come to mossy agates like these I always judge by the cutlines. The Masters and the Akros are very similar. Marble--On!!

It is the consensus that Alley didn't make patches. The patches found at the Alley site which excited so many of us are probably Akro. So that leaves Akro versus Master. When I was looking at your marbles I tried to see the seams. Not all the seams were front and center, but since I already gave you a bit of a hard time on your Wedding Cake question, I tried to get a good feeling for your mossy patches without asking for more pictures. And the feeling I got was that the seams fit the typical Akro pattern more than the typical Master pattern.
