I really think that the Butterfly issue is one of the nicest color combination and patterns of the newer Mega Marbles. I don't think it is a renamed issue from earlier ones. They are hard to find so I bought 24 7/8th size cobbles from Moon Marble. They aren't here yet but I am glad they're coming. I also think that the Van Gogh Blue base and Yellow curvy patches are a nice pattern too. So I have 24 of those on the way as well in 7/8th. These look very much like Angelfish to me but somehow having a slightly different swirl. My bag With my empty net bags I have accumulated of assorted lots, I am going to reuse those and make up lots of Frosted Old Fashioned. I will be getting 80 to 90 5/8th loose ones and 12 1 inch boulders. I suppose I could make up 4 bags of these having a bunch of small ones and some big ones. I have never seen one in hand but when I see them something tells me I am going to like them and having about 100 of them coming, I am sure to pick out a nice bag just for me and maybe trade off the rest. Who knows? I'll update here when they show up. The Nickel Guy Posted March 6, 2025 Report Share Posted March 6, 2025 My marbles showed up today. Ended up with 3 sets of 33, that's 29 player and 4 boulders in the Frosted Old Fashion. Blue 5/8 size was disappointing as there were only 5 in the bag of 87 red yellow green and blue. Luckily I got a half dozen blue boulders but sadly no yellow. Oh well, I am so OCD. I expect too much of an even distribution. Thank goodness it came out to three sets of 33 Mibs. Then the Butterfly Cobbles are truly a nice looking marble. I have 2 sets of 12. However, some of my other Roosters have a bit of a peronality of thier own as well. It is going to join the bunch. I have 34 loose ones and another bag of Top Notch Roosters in the coop. I am assembling my own sets, reusing net bags and making up my own tags. I am at about a dozen short of 3000 Mega Marbles. All sorted alphabetically and on a spreadsheet. Top case has either 24 plus a shooter or needs a shooter. On the floor are generally sorted, less than 24 count lots and shooters. Some might not care for these Mexican marbles but I assure you, there are some truly beautiful ones to be had, even some common modern issues can be very nice. I have found numerous odd hybrids and off the wall color combos that I have seen nowhere else yet. Where I can't find a label, I have made up my own.
