What about these? Anybody have information on them.? I’m guessing some kind of fake. Here they referred to as civil war marbles. Why? I now there not from the civil war. Civil war fakes

Fake or not, those some pretty sweet marbles.  Bennington, lattacinos. I’m jealous.

There look to be some good ones in there but the "Civil War Star" clay marbles first surfaced around 1995 or so, if I remember correctly. The story was that they were unearthed while preparing one of the venues for the Olympic Games in Atlanta or some such balderdash. Of course, they are fakes.
