Melissa
These are 1 1/4 and 1 7/32 and glow under UV lighting. Is $200 for both a fair price?
schmoozer
Is the seller reputable? Have you had them in hand?

How much knowledge he has of German marbles I'm not certain. I do not have them in hand.
Melissa
My friend said the person who sold them to him thought they were contemporary but my friend thinks they’re old Germans. Thoughts??
TheVacorFan
I have my doubts about them being German. If those are "spidered" seams, the marbles are likely Imperial.

et cetera
I'm not sure if all authentic German HM Melon Balls should have a ground/faceted pontil, but those I have seen in hand did. Sometimes these faceted pontils are so finely executed they are hard to see. Look with a jewelers loupe.
I'llhavethat1
Pretty sure im seeing some ground/faceted pontils. It's possible they are what he thinks. Pretty big though...and condition + colorlor nudge it towards the 'is it too good to be true' questions...but definitely worth a closer look
