HELP! Newbie who just came into thousands of marbles...

Recommended Posts

Beginning of next week I am getting over 6 gallons of old marbles I bought online, my husband was a novice turning into a professor on the subject  before we lost him so I have general basic knowledge. Can you please recommend or post some links of good information about the different types, how to identify them and anything else you can think of? Thank you also much!

Pull out the cats eyes, clearies and solid colored game pieces and set those aside. Most if not all of those aren’t collectible.

Then Sort by similar patterns and colors. Group those together in small lots and post pictures here for ID.

Welcome alicats99 to "TheMarbleConnection".
We are all sad to hear of your hubby passing but what you say about him resonates with many here:wub: .
What has been said above is all true—just a few at a time.
If you can pick out any with over two colors involved you may have a great start to deciphering what you have there.
Maybe, just maybe, we can convince you into collecting these cute little orbs.

They take up little room and are easy to dust if you display them right.

We all will advise you in a respectfull fashion.

Bring them on!!
Marble—On!!
