Found some stainless steel washers and furniture finishing washers

My 100 count box of finishing washers I bought was leaky but the only one in the surplus store.

There was still 95 in it. Then I got these stainless steel flat washers with 1/4 in holes. Got a lot of them, maybe a couple / few hundred. I think everything cost me about $7.50.

Marbles sit nicely in them and stay put. I am going to build a little display with these.

Well, now . . . wasn't that exciting?

Excited to see the display,  what's the plan counter sinking them? I've tried with crotchet wood rings but the damn things are always out of round.

I have these covers for my insulin needles. They have a stem about the same width as the washers. They remind me of golf tees. I think I'll cut and glue steps together. 

The largest and deepest being the base and make several more so that there are maybe 6 or 7 high. Maybe 3/4 thick. I'll have to go over the neighbors and use his drill press so I get the holes drilled just right.

Love it all --great info as well.

I used to take home the styrofoam holders from blood sampe tubes, 5/8" marbles fit perfect and tight for shipping--waayyyy back when I used to sell.

I picture my shooters and boulders in the bleachers displayed like this on a grid of evenly spaced holders.

The steps and holders will probably get secured with glue and spray painted a flat color. The holders will disappear and the washers will just dress things up a bit.

I have to figure where I'm going to put it, or put it in so I know the dimensions and step count and color.

This will be a project for later but I will update here.

Interesting idea. Lol medical supplies are more common then I thought.  I use test tube holders for trays the holes are perfect for 5/8 size mibs.
