jeslar1976
I have been collecting marbles for a long time but only when i would find them out in the wild.. Crazy I could spot a marble from a block away in 6 feet of brush under a log in a swampy marsh.. Lol for real though its weird they just jump out at me. I never purchased them or spent much time on learning things about them until the last few years. So now I have this massive collection of antique and vintage marbles and no actual knowledge. I just know they are old and i want to leave them to my kids someday I would love to learn more about them. I recently redid an ould farm house window so i could give the marbles proper display. However its not turning out to be what I expected in order for it to work proper I think my only option is to glue them.. I dont want to damage them in any way so I have paused for a moment on how to proceed. Anyway this is me with my marbles and my lack of marble knowledge. I was doing the gumball and jar display thing. I do believe this pretty little things should be seen. I find it incredible that something so little can hold the beauty and talent that they do. Im excited to be apart of this community and hope to learn more about my marbles. I added a few pictures of some of what I have and until I can come up with something for my windoe I am now on a hunt for a glass top table that I can use. 1
Ric
Welcome to the Marble Connection! You have come to the right place. There are many years of marble experience here. The best way to start off might be to show us a few of your favorites or if you're interested in trying to identify some, just post a few different views of the one's you're most interested in over in the "Marble ID's" section. Otherwise, just peruse the the threads and photos and ask any questions that might come to mind - there are plenty of people here who love to talk marbles and are more than willing to help you out. I'm digging the old beverage dispenser!

jeslar1976
To respond to the first message.. I don’t have a favorite marble I absolutely love them all. I do however have a few that intrigue me more than others so thank you for pointing me in the right direction. So to respond to my fellow Pennsylvanian it is a blast until it drives everyone here crazy 😆 thank you both for the warm welcome.
