Zoep
Hello, I’m not really a marble collector but I frequently beachcomb the Great Lakes and look for old tumbled beach glass, pottery, porcelain, etc. I recently found my first two marbles and am very curious to know any info about them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The Nickel Guy
I'd love to find glass on the beach. Not to hijack your thread but it seems like a good time to ask for both of us. I can understand pieces of smoothed edge glass being found on any beach but I always wondered why marbles get found so often with that sea glass look. Did the marble companies dump them the dame way in the lakes and ocean like they did to get rid of them in the dumps? They did get rid of a lot if they were defective or not up to par? Right?
akroorka
I always though of these beach marbles as ones that were shot from a slingshot/orwhatever and ended up on the beach. These little round orbs are bound to be picked up by the waves and deposited on the beach--the roll quite well. I have never heard of any marble company putting them in a lake or Ocean--rivers --yes. Eike Korff
Hey there, this is Eike from Germany🤗 I just came home from a Bicycle Trip around the world and on my way I met an archeologist that gave me these marbles. He said he found them during a dig and has many of those. He told me that they could be my financial safety cussion if I sell them. He told me they would be worth up to 2.000$ So now my question is can anybody tell me which kind they are and maybe even estimate how much they are really worth. Thanks in advance and greetings from Germany✌️
