Which picture is best for Id

Hi Davesnothere, I use a darker background. If you're using your cellphone camera and have white in your background, your camera is overcompensating for the white background, making the entire photo dark. 
If you use a darker background, Black or Gray, the phone camera will show the colors of the marble better. :)

Sunlight is often better.  Make sure you are manually selecting focus on the marble itself - which also determines exposure.

Artificial lights have their own varying color temperatures.  Those temperatures add artificial color to the photo, or fail to bring out true colors.

@Alan good information thanks. 

Not  doing any post editing. 

I think my phone handles the wb fairly good with a mixed grey card.

I do shoot with a dslr as a hobby well did untill my health got in the way.

macro pictures the pinhole lenses on phone are perfect for this type of photography and easy to load online.

Bravo to you for using a grey card for exposure/WB!
