Parmcat
With the German Swirl, the guy had 3 clay marbles. I have not even started to learn them, but they were inexpensive and I took them. I will get into them at some point, but, is this one anything? I have 2 others that are similar
Ric
I'd call it a brown earthenware (clay) marble, AKA a "Commie" because they were so common. Clay marbles are cool but the vast majority of them have little if any value to collectors. Many different companies made huge numbers of them and I don't know that anyone has ever figured out how to sort them. Although, I myself have had quite a bit of fun trying. You can also find them dyed a variety of single colors, or even mottled with several colors. A nice collection of them displays well in a wooden bowl or something. I actually like them quite a bit, but then I learned to embrace my weirdness long ago. 🙂 1
akroorka
My wife collects these and Ric is right on they do look pretty cool in a bunch as a display👍. Groups or bunches of these still command a higher price than most can figure out. Display only for most, no real collectable value--hard to ID. Marble--On!!
