Parmcat
So I bought a lot online with just a couple of pictures. Not a lot there, but this one guy stood out. I bought the lot and it arrived today. It's better then the pictures I just need help with an ID. It has a gorgeous swirl, with some "Lutz"?? I truly am really excited about this one Thanks!!!
Ric
Nice marble. I think it would be called a two color ribbon lutz swirl. Barely submerge it in water and take look (and a photo for us too). I think you'll be happy you did. 🙂 1

Fire1981
It’s not dirty. What you’re seeing on the surface is what we call “pocket wear”. It’s evenly distributed around the surface glass from some sort of abrasive material such as rolling around on a sandy beach. As old as hand mades it’s hard to tell what really caused it🔥 RAR

Like Fire said, it looks to be mostly pocket-wear - just mild surface abrasions. The thing is quite old after all. Who knows what it's been through? Start off by just giving it a bath with room temp water and some dish soap. A soft brush would be okay but be careful around any damage and don't use a wire brush or anything too harsh or abrasive. You never know, it might help a little. 1
