Marble_Go_Team
Has anyone played Conquerer recently? We're compiling our research on the game and rulesets right now, and I'm curious if it was a popular one back in the day. Seems like an interesting way to play for keeps. I vaguely remember playing it or a version years ago.
Steph
Not sure I've heard of that before. What's the general idea of it?

Marble_Go_Team
Old old English game where players would throw their marble at an opponent's marble who placed it in the field of play. If the player misses, their marble stays put and the next player can target either of those already in the field. If a player strikes a marble, then it's conquered (kept). Play continues until there aren't any left in the field or an opponent yields. Some mention throwing the marbles, some mention shooting. Some mention the intention of breaking the marbles, some mention just hitting it. I don't like the "breaking" and "throwing" parts of the tradition, but find the shooting and hitting style appealing alongside the concept of being a conquerer. I plan to work on a ruleset for just that in the near future.
